With distillation column SARGAS you can get distilled glycerin from crude glycerin by a method of vacuum rectification. Every piece of the plant that contacts with liquids and vapors is made of stainless steel. The plant is provided with vacuum unit and steam heating system.
Low pressure, set by vacuum unit, provides low temperature of boiling of glycerin and that prevents glycerin from thermochemical decomposition. Soft heating of the pot is provided by special system of steam heating. Light distillates are segregated such as alcohols, water, acrolein and other components with low boiling point. The main distillate is glycerin. Components with high boiling point are left in the pot such as fats, ethers of fatty acids, mineral components.
